Hawksmoor is the best place to go to for an amazing Sunday roast ~ My flatmate.

And I completely and wholeheartedly agree, although I am not a big fan of Sunday roasts in general because of how bland they usually are and you need alcohol to chug them down, this one was a clear exception. Hawksmoor is quite a renowned brand in central London and certainly lives up to its expectations.

Booking: Highly Recommended, if you come at busy time the waiting time could be as much as 90 minutes.

Interior and Ambiance: We went to Hawksmoor Piccadilly which is a few steps from tube station and very convenient. The interior is quite plush which reminded me of colonial era boardrooms with leather furniture and wooden paneling but its still quite chic, airy and comfortable.

the menu is quite extensive and despite the fact we only had Roast beef, the food arriving from kitchen looked amazing in terms of the presentation. The menu is a good mix of different options with seafood, steaks and roast beef.

Roast Beef – We ordered out roast pink (DUH! I don’t know who eats fully done beef seriously!) which comes with Yorkshire pudding, bone marrow, veg and gravy.

The roast was absolutely delicious; very tender with veg absolutely fresh in taste and the gravy made everything work well together. The Yorkshire pudding was delicious and was an absolute delight with duck fat roast potatoes. The whole thing was big enough to satisfy you for a great Sunday afternoon meal and let’s you wonder why life is so sweet…

Things to love: Location, ambiance, food.

Negatives: Pricey.
