An absolute delight by any standard, Burnt Restaurant was introduced to me by a blogger friend who was aware of the awesome work done by the chef in his previous endeavors and I have to thank her for this one from the bottom of my stomach. I loved the Sunday brunch followed by a walk up the Portobello Market. I would highly recommend this adorable place with great views and a gallery beside it for their amazing food and great environment.
Booking: Highly recommended although the staff is extremely friendly and accommodated us when we ran late for 45 minutes.
Interior and Ambiance: The restaurant is located inside a gallery space and the views from the balcony are absolutely stunning. Perfect for soaking up some art with delicious food.
Chocolate smothered bread with pistachios and caramelized banana – We licked our plate at the end along with the fork and knife, simply foodgasmic!
Wild Garlic duck egg benedict – Duck eggs baked inside brioche and what a beauty it is topped with spinach.
Smoked Salmon pot with poached eggs- Absolutely perfect with great combination with fried crispy lotus, dried berry bread and guacamole.
Spiced avocados on toast – Topped with poached eggs, this was my favourite amongst all we ordered. The spiced avocado was made to perfection and there was no hint of dryness for toast.
Things to love: The view from balcony, orgasmic food, friendly staff, the art gallery with a great set of contemporary artists AND friendly staff.
Negatives: Nyet, absolutely none.
