Tapas, tapas and more tapas, that’s all I had while I was in Andalusia but my last day was slightly different because I went to Lechuga with a friend.
This restaurants is a vegetarian warrior focussing on the organic and fresher side of things. Location wise it is marvellous, just at the Merced square and easy to get to from everywhere. The menu is quite interesting with a lot of veggie options which was a bit of change in Andalusia where everything revolves around meat mainly and even more reliant on pork. This seemed like an interesting
We were seated promptly by the friendly staff and got our menus. We ordered our food and enjoyed nibbling on the bread and olive oil. It was fresh, soft and crispy from outside while still being soft inside.
Food came in small plates in typical tapas style and other than mini burgers it was all very refreshing and interesting. The burgers had an overpowering cumin taste.
Salmon was my fav one with a yummy portion of cream cheese, I love this combo. We went through food quite quickly and ended up quite full. Beef Carpacio was absolutely perfect with the cheese and rocket.
Lechuga was an interesting find in a city overflowing with meat based tapas and hopefully the beginning of a vegetarian revolution in Andalusia.
