Venice is a delicacy in itself and Osteria Antico Giardinetto is an absolutely precious gem located in one of the narrow alleyways that absolutely mesmerize it.
Booking: The restaurant only opens in the evening and booking is highly recommended because it is that amazing.
Interior and Ambiance: the crocheted covers on lamps and wooden interior reflect the simplicity of a home base restaurant (Osteria refers to a restaurant run by a family who lives on top of the place). It is the perfect place for a nice dinner out.
Starter: Bresola beef with shavings of cheese and rocket – The beef was absolutely divine and the portion was quite big.
Main: Tuscan lamb chops with potatoes – medium rare, the chops were done to perfect with amazing tenderness.
Dessert: Panaa cotta with Fresh strawberry sauce – slightly stickier than I thought but the strawberry cream was divine.
Things to love: The restaurant is an absolutely amazing discovery and the interior, location, food and staff help, everything made it just perfect to wind down after a day wandering through the streets and canals on Venice.
Negatives: None, I absolutely adored the place. The only thing to worry about is value for money because it is on expensive side of things.
