Kocabaylar Kebap

Denizli is a city famous for neighboring Pammukale and it’s beautiful white pools but also for its kebabs in Turkey.
A local friend recommended one of the oldest kebabci (one who is expert in making kebabs) and I didn’t think twice before saying yes. The cafe is located in twirling old bazaar streets of Denizli and is quite easy to find if you ask the locals about the name.
We got there and got seated, there’s no menu because there’s only one dish. We were served complimentary salad as is customary with every meal in Turkey. The Food arrived shortly and we both shared the same plate (another tradition of Turkey I loved).
The kebabs were juicy, soft and devoid of any spices. The only spice is the fragrant spice on gable which you add to kebab to make it fragrant instead of hot, if you fancy hot, you get hot peppers with salad.
The next thing I remember sipping Ayran with the plate so clean I could see my face in it.
The price of a meal was 30 Turkish Liras per person (£7.5 approx) which is peanuts.
This place is definitely worth a visit if you happen to pass by Denzili.
