Place Jemâa el-Fna

The first stop for any tourist in Marrakech in Jemma El Fna, the main square in Medina. The place has a lot
Of other attraction for tourists but the most important and amazing is the food markets right in the middle of square, full of small stalls you can find everything here from ravines to bbq’d meat and snail soup to sheep head and tongue.
You will be hurled and pulled by waiters in all directions once you enter but take your time and stroll around to see what you fancy. I would recommend trying the bbq lamb chops, the lamb cubes and aubergines and peppers for bbq, lamb or beef tagine and if you have the stomach for it sheep skull with fried brain and a generous portion of tongue (it sounds weird I know but it is actually quite delicious).
You will see plenty of guys on carts selling sweets and normally they are quite good too.
Another thing to try is the soup stall which sells harira which is a soup made of vegetables and lentils.
The best part of this little market so the price, for a very emeritus meal you will spend £10 at the very most.
Don’t forget to feed some children running around while you’re there instead of giving them money.
