Florence is a beautiful city, a true piece of Art from Uffizi Gallery to Michelangelo’s David but it has a hidden gem under its belt when it comes to food. I randomly came across this beautiful cafe with a lot of character and decided to try the food.
Located in a small square on a small stroll from the city center Osteria Santo Spirito absolutely made my day after a lot of Art and sculptures. The staff was a bit cold but food totally compensated for that.
We chose Almond cream pasta, steak and spaghetti all of which was very fresh and delightful. Even though the almond cream pasta was quite heavy the timings of serving and the quantity was perfectly right not to feel greasy afterwards. The pasta was cooked to perfect timing and the steak was a perfect medium rare with great salad with amazing dressing.
The crockery at this place is so beautiful I wanted to steal our plates. Price wise it falls in the medium range. A big thumbs up from Food Discoveries for being so awesome!!!
