Tostado is one of the most adorable, cozy and delicious place in Soho. The way you get to this place kind of remind me of Harry Potter because of the way it reveals itself to you. The seating area is quite small and you can see the chef grilling on one side.
We decided to get mixed seafood and sea bass ceviche to begin with and llapingachos (potato and cheese balls) with fried plantain and some steak. The waitress served us with some pop corn and plantain to nibble on till the food arrived.
Ceviche arrived and the first word after first spoon was ‘amazing!’ . Not only was it delicious it had the perfect temperature and absolutely no stink of seafood which is notorious to get rid of, for cold seafood.
We pretty much licked our bowls clean and then arrived the warm food which was equally amazing. The patties were soft and perfectly done, steak was delicious and done to perfection (Medium rare always!). The only thing that was heavy was friend plantain but chimichurri sauce solved that problem too.
It was generally a very positive experience made even better by the friendly staff, we are definitely going back soon for another evening of awesome food.
